As a result, IKEA may not consider Oklahoma to be a successful business. ![]() Oklahoma has a population of less than 4 million people, with less than 700,000 people living in Oklahoma City. IKEA’s lucrative performance is largely due to efficient store placements, which are often found in close proximity to cities and suburban districts.Įach store is located in a densely populated area with a population of at least 2 million people within a 40-60 mile radius. Tulsa’s Metropolitan Area, on the other hand, has sufficient space for an IKEA shop. Previous conjecture suggested that lands along Memorial Road or the Chisholm Creek development region in Oklahoma City might be possible candidates. It will be some time until IKEA installs a store in Oklahoma City, which has a population of roughly 700,000 people.Ĭontinue reading to learn more about potential venues, nearby locations, and more! In Oklahoma, where would IKEA be located?Īt this time, there are no plans to open an IKEA store in Oklahoma. IKEA stores are often found in cities with populations of exceeding 2 million people. Unfortunately, as of 2022, IKEA has no formal intentions to expand into Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, or the neighboring territories. Here’s what I discovered! IKEA To Open In Oklahoma In 2022? IKEA’s intentions to expand have sparked discussion, so you might be wondering if IKEA is coming to Oklahoma. The next day, I put all the furniture together myself.Thousands of people visit IKEA stores every day in search of beautiful yet affordable furniture, appliances, and accessories. I had a very long conversation with a person called, but the conversation / internet cut off 3 times (not from my end) so I had to start again.I gave up at 7pm. So, I went to IKEA live chat (they don't take phone calls - probably because they have such bad customer service that they can not take calls - they will burn out all their staff!). This was only the start of the nightmare! Try to get a refund for services not done.near impossible!!!įrom here I spoke to the assembly service, but it was too late to get. But, a1 hour later at 4.40pm on Friday afternoon, the assembler backed out by sending me 2 idential text messages saying he was not coming! I confirmed via phone conversations on Tusday and again on Friday afternoon at 3.40pm. I had 2 orders and 2 deliveries, and they were going to send one person to assemble all my furniture. I booked in assembly of my IKEA furniture. It's been an experience I'd never wish to repeat. It really disadvantages people who don't live near an IKEA store. But more often than not, you can't, so the only option is click and collect the following day (the nearest store is 2 hours from where we live - so not convenient) or go in store where hopefully, the product is still available. Read more then wait for a text message when it's finally available and then maybe, just maybe you can have it delivered. You have to register your interest in a product. But not being able to order and pay for it ahead of time and then have it delivered is just dumb. ![]() Then trying to get the fridge and microwave when we don't live near an IKEA store has proven to be a dreadful experience. They sent other components which we hadn't ordered and didn't send some that we had ordered. The design team advised our existing benchtop would match our existing IKEA benchtop. after being directed by another to 'check airtasker' to find an assembly option and following four days of just trying to order, organise assembly and delivery I gave up.įinally tried another online chat (You've gotta really need this wardrobe) I was told assembly was booked out and given the address of an Ikea linked assembly company. and then they couldn't.Īnother (call centre ) told me to try back in a few days after 45 mins on the phone when she couldn't get things workingĪ third (online chat) told me in a 4 hour back and forth discussion (when taking an hour between replies) that this chat isn't monitored often - then couldn't log into my account to see my order thus couldn't help. One operator(via social media chat) told me it was an error on my end and that assembly could be ordered from their end. highlights of many failed attempts are below: I was logged out of chat after no response from them for an hour. The problem started when I couldn't order products and assembly at the same time but couldn't order assembly after purchase because that option isn't available, So after a very frustrating day of not working this out I tried contacting Ikea. so if you have four good days (and evenings) to waste order through IKEA - Im sure they wont disappoint you there. If it wasn't happening to me - it would be comical.like a farcical sitcom.
